19 (9 am to 12:30 pm) Bidwell Park and Creeks of Chico annual cleanup.  Help Butte Environmental Council clean up Bidwell Park, Little Chico Creek, Big Chico Creek, Teichert Ponds and Lindo Channel. Includes snacks and a free lunch afterwards.  Bring gloves and water and wear closed-toe shoes. Long pants preferable. For more information and to pre-register, see BEC. For the park cleanup (suitable for children), meet at Hooker Oak Park parking lot Map. For the creeks cleanup, meet at 10th St at Salem. Your help is especially needed if you have a pickup truck.

Please wear closed-toe shoes. Tools and water provided, but if possible bring your own water container. Annual Polar Bear Swim across Lower Bidwell Park's Sycamore Pool Map starting at 1 pm.  This is a no-host event--you just show up at the appropriate time. Even if you don't want to brave the chilly waters, this is a fun park event to attend and you're sure to see some of your neighbors and friends!
